How is ear washing done in the clinic?

Ear washing in the clinic is a quick and safe procedure taking 10-15 minutes. We use specialized medical tools to ensure effectiveness and safety.

Steps:

1. Otoscope examination: We look inside the ear with an otoscope to assess wax amount, type, and eardrum condition.
2. Preparation: If wax is very hard — we may ask you to use softening drops (olive oil or peroxide) for 2-3 days before the appointment.
3. Washing: Warm water at body temperature (37°C) gently pumped with a special syringe or electronic irrigation device. Water enters and exits carrying wax with it.
4. Collection: Kidney-shaped basin placed under the ear to collect water and wax.
5. Final examination: We look again with otoscope — ensure canal is clean and eardrum visible.

What You Feel:

• Warm water sensation inside the ear — not painful.
• Water sound — normal.
• Afterward: clearer hearing immediately — noticeable difference.
