Lipoma & Mole Removal

How is lipoma removal surgery performed?

Lipoma removal is a simple and quick procedure done in the clinic under local anesthesia — no hospital needed.

Procedure Steps:

  1. Local anesthesia: Anesthetic injected around the tumor — patient is awake and pain-free.
  2. Incision: Small cut directly over the lipoma — approximately the same length as the tumor.
  3. Extraction: Pressure applied to remove the tumor with its capsule completely (Enucleation). Complete capsule removal prevents recurrence.
  4. Hemostasis: Stop any minor bleeding with electrocautery.
  5. Closure: Cosmetic suturing with fine stitches — result is a very thin scar.
  6. Histological examination: Tumor sent to lab to confirm it's benign.

After Surgery:

  • Goes home immediately — no admission.
  • Simple painkiller (Paracetamol) is sufficient.
  • Change dressing every two days.
  • Suture removal after 7-14 days.

At BEIT TARIQ Center, we remove lipomas with cosmetic technique ensuring the smallest possible scar.
