How to care for a new ear piercing and how long does healing take?

Proper care is essential to prevent infection and ensure quick healing. The earlobe heals in 6-8 weeks.

Care Instructions:

• First two weeks:
  • Clean around the earring twice daily with Normal Saline or the provided cleaning solution.
  • Rotate the earring half a turn — prevents adhesion.
  • Don't touch the earring with unclean hands.
  • Don't change the earring — leave the medical one for 6 weeks.
• Weeks 3-6:
  • Continue cleaning once daily.
  • Earring moves easily now.
  • Don't sleep on the pierced ear.
• After 6 weeks:
  • Can change earring for the first time.
  • Choose gold or titanium earring — avoid nickel.

Normal Things:

• Slight redness first few days.
• Clear or white discharge — not pus.

Problem Signs:

• Yellow/green pus + odor.
• Severe swelling and increasing pain.
• Fever.
