Gout Treatment

Is gout a serious disease and can it be cured permanently?

Gout is a chronic but excellently controllable disease with appropriate treatment. There's no permanent cure but you can live virtually attack-free.

Is It Serious?

  • Without treatment: Yes — joint deformities, kidney stones, elevated cardiac risk.
  • With treatment: No — patient lives a completely normal life.

Associated Risks:

  • Gout patients have higher risk of heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension.
  • Elevated uric acid indicates overall metabolic dysfunction — not just a joint problem.

Can It Be Cured?

  • No permanent cure exists — but with Allopurinol and proper diet you can achieve:
    • No attacks at all.
    • Dissolution of existing deposits.
    • Completely normal life.
  • Some patients after years of control may attempt dose reduction under medical supervision.

At BEIT TARIQ Center, we create a long-term treatment plan with regular follow-up to ensure optimal control.
