At BEIT TARIQ Center, we use the Plastibell method for newborns and small children, and the improved traditional surgical method for older children and adults.
Plastibell Method (for Infants):
- A plastic ring placed around the glans underneath the foreskin.
- A suture is tied over it — cuts blood supply to the foreskin.
- Foreskin falls off with the ring in 5-10 days automatically.
- No stitches — excellent cosmetic result.
- Fewer complications than traditional methods.
Surgical Method (for Older):
- Local or general anesthesia depending on age.
- Foreskin removal with scalpel — suturing with absorbable sutures.
- Sutures dissolve on their own in 2-3 weeks.
Why Plastibell Is Better:
- Less pain — less bleeding — better cosmetic outcome.
- Endorsed by American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
At BEIT TARIQ Center, we choose the most appropriate method based on your child's age and health.
